Professional Profile

Mr. Bashiru Abdul Hassani is a qualified environmental and social safeguard professional, fully certified and registered with NEMC, with over 25 years of experience as a leading ESIA Expert, Environmental Audit (EA) Expert, Social Economist and Gender Specialist. He has executed numerous ESIAs, EAs, SESAs, ESMFs and RPFs, specialises in drafting and executing Resettlement Action Plans (RAP), and leads public communication and environmental awareness campaigns. His portfolio spans construction, mining, roads, ports, power, oil and gas, telecommunication and large-scale infrastructure, including projects funded by the World Bank, IFC, AfDB, GCF and MCC, where he holds overall responsibility for designing and overseeing implementation of ESMPs in line with international safeguards and Tanzanian law.
