TRES Consult provides independent Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) assessments for financial institutions, private equity investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), and corporate acquirers operating in Tanzania and the East African region. Our due diligence reviews evaluate environmental liabilities, historical contamination, regulatory compliance status, social risks, labour and supply chain issues, and the adequacy of existing environmental and social management systems.

Assessments are benchmarked against applicable national requirements and international lender standards including the IFC Performance Standards, the Equator Principles, and EBRD Performance Requirements. We prepare concise, decision-relevant ESDD reports that identify material environmental and social risks, quantify potential financial liabilities, assess management capacity, and recommend risk mitigation and management measures to protect investment value and meet lender requirements.
